Lectures

Due to the ongoing Corona virus pandemic our lectures are being presented via Zoom until further notice.

Our meetings are held fortnightly, between October and March, in  the John Anderson Building of Strathclyde University. Meetings  attract an audience of 300 and above. People come not only to listen to presentations from distinguished speakers but also to engage them in lively discussion. The speakers seem to enjoy the evening as much as the audience and many comment on the high standard of debate.

Recordings of the lectures from 2017 are available on the Past Lectures page and will be available later this year on the Strathclyde University Library site, a link to which will be put on our site.

The lectures are open to members and non-members alike and attract expert and inexpert individuals of all ages from every background. Why not come and try it out?

There is no entry fee for non-members but a £3 voluntary donation from guests would be welcome.

The 2017 to 2020 Lecture Series can now be found at the University of Strathclyde Archives and Special Collections
